The Parish Council team are concerned that there is some confusion concerning what is and isn’t maintained at St Peter’s Churchyard and Burial Ground.
The Grounds Maintenance team are not responsible for strimming and maintaining individual graves. Graves are private property and the upkeep of the Grave itself are the responsibility of the friends and relatives of the deceased.
The Grounds Maintenance Team do maintain a number of War Veteran graves by arrangement as part of their role.
